Mr Beans Holiday - Rowan Atkinson - Review & Trailer

Its been awhile but Mr bean is back, This time in his latest movie Mr Beans Holiday. As you may have guessed from the title Mr Bean has won himself a holiday to the beach in France, And we get to see all the trouble he can cause on his way.

I did enjoy this film perhaps even more than the first as there was a lot of new material and unlike the first movie wasn't a rehash of the series. This movie s not the comedy of the year but defiantly worth a watch for some really funny scenes "all I can say is seafood LOL" and some well thought out gags.

TMNT - Cinema - Trailer

Well im going to be talking about the new TMNT "teenage turtles" movie today. I went to see this movie at the local cinema and to be honest wasn’t expecting too much but I was impressed. The new movie is fully cgi but if your a fan of the old live action film don’t worry they pick up the story where it left off.

The story was in classic turtle style with them trying to save the world without killing each other pretty generic but still fun. Also it is good to see they didn’t leave out the occasional joke which makes the turtles what they are. Definitely worth a watch.

The Fountain - DVD - Hugh Jackman - Trailer

Today I will be giving you my thoughts on The Fountain starring once again Hugh Jackman. In brief this movie is about a man who is researching cancer treatments and by chance has a wife who is dying from cancer, She is also trying to finish a novel before she dies and of course he is trying to find a cure before this happens.

Let me begin by saying this is an art type film so if that is not your interest stop here. This movie had an ok flow and some great use of CGI and some different camera styles. The story however is a bit out there for my tastes it seems this movie was going for a tear jerker / “what the hell just happened “type film which I must admit I did not really enjoy.

As I said previously this movie is good for people who are in to art films or something a little out there if not maybe have a look in to the movies below.

The Illusionist And The Prestige - DVD - Edward Norton - Trailer

Yes on the weekend I went to the video store and rented the two movies above, And without even knowing had picked the two movie witch follow very similar themes. I’m going to review these two movies together so we can get a bit of contrast. The first movie I watched was The Illusionist starring Edward Norton, let me start by saying I found this an excellent film great cinematography, excellent acting and a great story line. The only one thing about this film was the ending don’t get me wrong it was a good one but all a little to predictable but this still didnt take much away from it. The second movie I watched was The Prestige with Hugh Jackman now I may have gone in to this film expecting a little too much with all the hype I had heard around the office. I will first say that I did enjoy the film it has a good story line some great effects and a good mixture of fact and fiction but I did find at times seemed to be dragging along a bit. Unlike The Illusionist this movie certainly has an excellent twist at the end that would be hard to see coming.

All in all two great films and if you like a bit of magic and mystery both well worth the watch, But if I would have to pick a favorite between the two I will have to go with The illusionist,

Sorry Hugh :-P

Please fell free to leave your thoughts on these movies as well
